Of course, here in Colorado that is said with tounge in cheek. Yesterday alot of the front range including half of Colorado Springs turned white, and not just a dusting. Woodland Park and the mountain areas here and north got anywhere from 6 - 16 inches. Some of the ski areas are very happy right now.On the other hand, I am ready to get some garden seeds and starter plants going in the garden. This year I bought a blackberry and a rasberry plant for out back. They are in and doing well so I am hoping for at least a small crop of berries this summer. Yumm.
This lighthouse was made by my uncle (shown) and set in my front yard this weekend. Once we get the electrical set up the light in the top of the lighthouse will shine over our yard. My uncle Jim created the top light section and then uncle Phil created the lighthouse section and put it all together. This will probably be the last one he makes so I am honored to get it.

We also took time this last week to go to Pueblo's Mineral Palace Park with our mom after lunch. We had a good time and enjoyed walking around the large goldfish pond and crossed it on an arched walk bridge. Myrtle (our bully dogge) decided the wall was too tall for her to see and she wanted to see what we were looking at so she stood up (below) to check it out. This is not an easy task for a big olde english bully dogge.

This park and bridge over the pond has been there since at least the early 50's if not earlier. I remember fishing there when we were barely toddlers and preschool age. (am I giving my age away? Maybe).
We also took time this last week to go to Pueblo's Mineral Palace Park with our mom after lunch. Mineral Palace Park Walking Bridge
This park and bridge over the pond has been there since at least the early 50's if not earlier. I remember fishing there when we were barely toddlers and preschool age. (am I giving my age away? Maybe).A few weeks ago the weather was nice enough to visit the Garden of the Gods that is well known in Colorado. It is here right at the west end of the town, butting right up against the hills. The rocks are all a varigated blend of red tones that make it wonderful for picture backdrops. It is beautiful there. Here I am holding my newest grandchild, Ruby. (As usual I take off my oxygen hose for pictures because the hose is not me, it is just a tool I use to breathe. I can handle a few minutes without it for times like this)

Six Eyes Sister? Ha. My sister can really be funny at times and this is one of them. My husband called her six eyes and all she wanted to do was borrow my reading glasses to add to her own regular glasses to read a label. Pretty funny but it worked, so there!!

Myrtle has alot of stuffed toys and if you notice the little pig has no eyes. That's because Myrtle Preferes her pet toys to be blind. Maybe they seem threatening when they look at her. The large pink pig still has its eyes albeit temporarily. The eyes are already leaking some of the foam filler behind them.

Well, with no really poignant or thought provoking ideas to share I will close with the referral to my daughter Amber's blog that has been focusing on ways to treat your spouse to something they don't expect. Also to Brenda's blog that has put me in stitches more times than I can count and given really good values to think about also.
I have been out visiting some of your blogs and it's good when I can see alot of people staying so positive in their lives even when times are tough and to see everyone trying to uplift other's when they visit other blogs and leave such good helpful or encouraging comments. That's the biggest positive I've found in blogging. Thanks to those who have given me uplifts and for just being there in the first place.
